Create, preview and publish pages
Describe a page and your assistant builds it: a link-in-bio page, a menu, a recipe, an event. Check it in a private preview, publish it on yourname.saypage.page, change it whenever you want.
A SayPage page is a real web page, designed for you by your assistant and hosted by SayPage on your own address. You describe it, check it in a private preview, and publish it when you are happy. Changing it later is one sentence.
What you can make#
Anything that fits on one page, for example:
- Link in bio: who you are, one featured card, your links grouped and labelled, your latest content, your socials.
- Menu: categories with a sticky bar, prices, dietary tags.
- Recipe: a big photo, timings and servings, ingredients visitors can tick off, numbered steps, a timer.
- Event or workshop: date and place with a map, the program, a booking link, a countdown.
- Offer or landing page: the promise, what's included, who it is for, the price, the button again at the end.
- Guide, portfolio, playlist, press kit…
Pages can carry animations, carousels, charts, embedded YouTube or Spotify players, Calendly bookings and Google Maps. The full list is in What a page can contain.
Make a page#
- Ask. "Make me a link-in-bio page" is enough to start. Before writing anything, your assistant looks at your Instagram account, your posts and your existing pages, then asks what it still needs, in one short message: what the page is for and the one thing visitors should do, who visits it, the real content (links, prices, dates), and your photos.
- Pick a style. It proposes three style directions made for you (each with a palette, a type pairing and a kind of motion), and you choose one, or a mix. Say "surprise me" to skip this.
- Add photos. It gives you an upload link, so your photos arrive while you talk. See Images and uploads.
- Check the preview. It builds the page as a draft and sends you a private preview link. Nothing is public yet.
- Publish. When you say so, your assistant publishes the page.
Your assistant never invents prices, figures, reviews, testimonials or dates: it asks, or leaves them out.
Private previews#
A preview link shows your current draft, exactly as it will look online. It only opens for you: it asks you to sign in to saypage.ai with your SayPage account, and does not work for anyone you forward it to. It expires after about an hour; ask for a new one any time.
Publishing and the page check#
When your assistant publishes a page, SayPage checks it first, in a few seconds: it reads the page's text and opens the page in a browser. Then one of three things happens:
- Published: the page is live at its address.
- Refused: the answer says why. Your assistant fixes the page and publishes again. If an earlier version was online, it stays online meanwhile.
- Still checking: your assistant looks again a minute later.
Refusals don't count against you. What SayPage refuses, and why, is explained in What a page can contain and Privacy and safety.
Change a page#
Say what to change: "Add my Spotify playlist under the cookbook", "Make the button pink", "Swap the hero photo". Your assistant edits the draft, sends a new preview and publishes when you agree. The live page does not change until you publish again.
Your site and its addresses#
Your site's address comes from your Instagram handle: @toto.cooks publishes to https://toto-cooks.saypage.page. The home page has the path /; other pages have their own path, like /menu or /workshop. To change the address, see Connect Instagram.
Put your site's address in your Instagram bio, or send a page by DM to people who comment a keyword under a post with a comment-to-DM automation.
The SayPage badge#
Every page shows a small "Made with SayPage · Report" badge in the bottom right corner. Its Report link lets anyone flag a page that breaks the rules. Pages leave room for it, and a page that hides or covers it is refused.
Take a page offline or delete it#
- Unpublish takes a page offline and keeps its draft, to publish again later.
- Delete removes the page and its draft for good.
Your assistant asks before doing either. A page that an automation sends, or that one of its buttons opens, cannot be unpublished or deleted until that automation is removed or changed.
How many pages#
The free plan keeps 1 page online at a time, with unlimited drafts and previews. When a plan limit stops a publication, your assistant tells you which page is online and lets you choose; it never takes a page offline on its own. See Plans and limits.
